Agony induced metamorphosis is the most appalling yet most thrilling thing that can happen to a man. There is a non linear relationship between the response against the amount of suffering one faces. A modicum of suffering disproportionately amplifies the mental agony. As the amount of hardship increases, humans by virtue of his evolutionary traits overcompensates and endures and thrives effectively. His endurance insulate him from a further small increase in hardships. But beyond a threshold, even a small increase in suffering will have a exponential increase in the mental distress. By now he effectively got inured to any further hardships. Any amount of further sufferings will be met with no subsequent increase in mental agony.

This life transformational metamorphosis of a humble, soft mind into something of a hardrock mindset is the start of a new phase of life. Suddenly he is at a point where nothing matters. To make his heart pound faster, the magnitude of the stimuli required is orders high. He has effectively metamorphised into a feral animal-instincted wild being. At this point his risk appetite is extremely high. He got molded in fire and his only way to make a mark is the risk and challenge of the “impossibles”. He disdains society based conformities, and he consider pain as a feature. His inner voice long to take the road less traveled.

The movie Skyfall has a villain played by Javier Bardem who has a convincing story. The character of The Mule, the greatest conqueror universe has ever seen, by Issac Asimov falls in the same category. Whoall reviled him must bow to him. The fierce urge to become the prime mover is the most potent and motivating force. A person operating at the fringes, who plots at the limits, with no strings attached, who is reasonably intelligent, is a force to be reckoned with. Consensus based decisions have a common denominator which is the lowest among the capabilities of all man involved in making the consensus. But a singular man’s decision is limited by the sky.

A pain transformed man can have only two motivations. One move on. The other is take over. Take over what? Well time will tell..
